KUGN-40.5 series gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear (C-GIS) is a new generation of gas insulated switchgear C-GIS products developed by our company.

Metal armored gas seal, internal use of low pressure SF6 gas as insulation medium, high-voltage parts waterproof, dustproof,not affected by the environment, not affected by altitude, completely free of maintenance, using permanent magnet or spring operating mechanism, solid sealing pole vacuum interrupter, greatly reducing parts and components.

Reliable operation in basement, plateau,frozen soil, coastal and other high altitude, humid, salt fog harsh environment, to meet the new energy, plateau, subway, high-speed rail and land shortage of urban power distribution projects, with high reliability maintenance free,strong adaptability, less land occupation characteristics.

Service environmental conditions

Altitude: < 5000m (when the altitude of the equipment is higher than 1000m, it needs to be specified specially);

Ambient temperature: maximum temperature + 50 ‘c , minimum temperature – 25 °c. The average value within 24 hours is less than 35 °C;

Environmental humidity: 24h average relative humidity < 95%;monthly average relative humidity < 90%;

Installation environment: there is no explosive and corrosive gas in the surrounding air, and there is no frequent severe vibration or impact in the installation site;

Maintenance free

The primary components are all sealed in the sealed gas box welded with stainless steel plate, filed with 0.04MPa SF6 gas as the insulation medium, with the protection grade of lP67, which can completely avoid the influence of external environment and climate on the switch cabinet, and reliably operate in the basement, plateau, frozen soil, coastal, humid and other harsh environment,realizing maintenance free.

Safety and reliability

The switch cabinet has reliable five prevention mechanical interlocking, which can prevent misoperation. All high voltage components, including, cable terminals, arresters, current transformers and voltage transformers, are sealed with grounded metal enclosure,safe and touchable.

Simple installation and operation

The product is designed according to the modular structure, the scheme combination is flexible, and the operation is simple and convenient, The side connection between cabinets is made by side parallel bus connector, which is convenient for installation.The voltage transformer and lightning arrester are installed outside the gas box to facilitate installation and replacement.

Product structure

The vacuum circuit breaker is located in an inflatable compartment, and the bus and three position switch are in another inflatable compartment, The inflatable compartment is made of non-magnetic stainless steel plate by laser cutting and welding and the non welded sealing connection surface is sealed by O-ring.

The inner cone cable connecting sleeve is installed in the air filed compartment of the circuit breaker, which can be connected with multiple cables in parallel, voltage transformer or lightning arrester, etc, the annular core current transformer is set on the cable and fixed with the switchgear frame.

The product is three-phase common box type and modular design. it is composed of circuit breaker air chamber, three position switch and bus inflation compartment, low-voltage room (instrument room, operating mechanism room), cable compartment.etc.

The pressure relief device is set at the upper part of the three position switch and bus inflation compartment and the rear of the circuit breaker inflation compartment, When the internal pressure of the inflation compartment exceeds a certain limit value.the pressure relief device will automatically open to release gas, so as to ensure the safety of operators and products.

The bus connection between cabinets is realized by using side expansion bus connector connection.

Side parallel bus connection system

The bus connector is used together with the bus coupler socket for the electrical connection between the gas box and the air box;

The use of special bus connector effectively solves the insulation problem of connection between cabinets. There is no need to inflate the gas box on site. The cabinet is flexible and easy to install.

The sectional area of the cable that can be connected is related to the rated voltage of the cable,and up to 4 cables can be connected to each phase.

Operating procedures

Power transmission operation

Operate the circuit breaker to open → operate the three position switch from the grounding position to the isolation position→ operate the three position switch from the isolated position to the closing position→ operate the circuit breaker to close

Blackout operation

Operate the circuit breaker to open→operate the three position switch from the closing position to the isolation position→operate the three position switch from the isolation position to the grounding position→detect that the circuit at the cable side is in the state of power loss switch on the circuit breaker

 

Interlock function

  1. Prevent the circuit breaker from closing again;
  2. Only when the three position switch is in any working position of closing, isolating or grounding, can the circuit breaker be closed or opened;
  3. When the handle of the three position switch is not taken out, or the switch is not in place in the process of connection, isolation or grounding of the three position switch, the circuit breaker cannot be closed;
  4.  When the grounding knife is in the grounding position and the high-voltage cable room is charged, the manual and electriclocking circuit breaker is closed to prevent the incoming line from being charged to lock the grounding switch:
  5. When the circuit breaker has no operating power supply, both manual and electric locking circuit breaker are closednamely, the circuit breaker is closed under voltage loss; ifthe secondary control circuit has no working power supply and the circuit breaker needs to be closed and opened on site, the circuit breaker panel shall be disassembled first, and the locking electromagnet connecting rod shall be manually pulled up to realize the closing and opening of the circuit breaker manually.
  6. If there is no special instruction for ordering, the circuit breaker has been equipped with electrical anti tripping function.
